As a bill-er, whenever I am creating a quotation, I want the sale price to be calculated based on "price markup" defined on cost/purchase price. This needs to be applied only if a relevant configuration is enabled. If not, regular means of sale price calculation should apply.
Currently, the sale price of a product (in quotation) is determined by
unit price (basic)
There is additional requirement of determining the "sale price" is the product is purchased and there is a "sale price" determined based on "price markup" defined over cost/purchase price.
The above should be applied only if configuration "Determine sale price based on cost price markup”.
You can define a markup percentage over cost price for products, this is defined in "price markup table". This can be defined through "Menu / Purchases / Configuration / Price Markup table".
This is usually defined as a range of prices, and is applicable for all products that have been purchased.
For cost price ranging from 1.0 - 10.0, apply a markup percentage of 5%2.
For cost price ranging from 10.0 - 100.0, apply a markup percentage of 2% and so on.
This markups apply for products that have tracking enabled by "lots" or "serial" number. This is applicable only for “stockable product”.
The calculation should apply in the following cases, where quotation is getting created.
While orders are being synced from Clinical on order by Physician
While creating a quotation manually from “Menu / Sale / Quotation “ => create.
