About the Feature
The metadata are Metadata and patient information is maintained in OpenMRS for an implementation. Bahmni captures various information and Bahmni for a patient. There are times we would like to share these data or information to other implementation. So the implementation. This information has to be shared at times with other Bahmni implementations. The data can be exported from Bahmni using CSV Export and you this can import it be imported to any other Bahmni implementation using the Import feature. Bahmni uses CSV format to exchange the data between implementations.
Where is it Used?
Group of hospitals might share the same data because those hospitals are maintained by same people. So, Apart from migrating data between implementations, another use is sharing data between groups of hospitals managed by the same parent group. Import feature of the system allows to share for sharing/transfering of the patient information or metadata from one hospital to other hospitals.
