Purpose and Benefits                                                                                          

The Death information section on the registration page helps us maintain information about a patient's death.

It takes in information like the "Date of Death", "Death Reason" etc.                                                                                                          

Steps

The "Death Reason" field is configurable via the Advanced Settings in OpenMRS.

To navigate to this section Click on Advanced Settings in the Administration screen of OpenMRS.

The reasons for death can be added as comma separated values under the "concept.reasonForDeath" definition in the Advanced Settings screen. In the case shown below, Choking and Drowning will show up as reasons for death in the application.
