About the Feature
This feature provides a snapshot list of patients registered at the facility with filtering capabilities. This is helpful to easily get an overview of patients who are undergoing various treatments at various locations within the facility.Using this list, the the staff at the hospital can navigate to the Patient Dashboard to view and add clinical information for the patient.
Where is it Used?
This feature is used in the Clinical section to set up patient lists. This is mainly useful to view patients based on different configurable attributes.
Benefits
Patient lists can be configured in various ways depending upon the need. For example -
- Configure the view based on whether a simple list of patient needs to be shown or thumbnails need to be shown.
- Configure lists based on different attributes like - locations, programs, etc.
- View patients per department.
- View patients based on the clinician who is monitoring them.

Patient lists are mainly used as springboards to viewing and capturing clinical information for the patient. Patient lists are supported in all modules in Bahmni, including Clinical, Program Management, In-Patient, Orders etc. These lists are configurable to be displayed as either tiles or as a list with configurable information per patient
Benefits
Patient Lists bring multiple benefits to the hospital staff -
- A tile view or a list view of patients based on the need of the department
- The tile view displays the patient picture, if the patient image was captured in the registration module
- If the patient is admitted, the tile view also displays an icon indicating the patient is admitted
- In the list view, a configurable of set of information for each patient can be displayed
- Also configurable are the queues themselves, which can be setup based on different parameters, such as all patients who have an active visit or all patients who have been sent to a particular department
