Release notes from the Previous releases:

The release notes from the previous releases of endTB are given below,

What’s New:

Following are the new features available as a part of this release:

  1. Changes to the Patient Monitoring Tool:

A few changes have been made to the patient monitoring tool in this release:

The following concepts have been added to the header section of the patient monitoring tool:

  • Consent for endtb study : The answer to the “Consent for endTB Obs Study signed?” from the treatment initiation form is displayed here.

  • X-Ray at MDRTB start : This parameter will check if an X-ray and Radiology form is present with the extent of disease answer available, in the time period of 3 months before and 1 month after the MDRTB start date. It will then display yes/no accordingly.

  • HIV Status : The latest HIV serostatus from the Baseline or the Lab- Serology form is displayed here.

The following concepts have been removed from the Baseline milestone(before M1) of the Patient Monitoring tool. These concepts would either be monitored using the Baseline data Verification List or some other reports:

    • Consent new drug

    • Consent for endTB study

    • HIV Status

    • CD4

    • HIV VL

    • Hep B

    • Hep C

    • HbA1C

    • Weight

    • Vital signs

    • Visual Acuity

    • Colour blindness - Baseline

    • BPNS - Baseline

    • Chest X-ray

2. Baseline Data Verification list Report:

The purpose of this report is to verify if data that is to be recorded for the patient during Baseline assessment period is present or not. This will support the patient monitoring tool in tracking data completeness and adherence to schedule.

3. Queue Feature of the report:

This feature provides the user an option to queue reports that run on larger data sets and hence may take some time to complete. The user can click the “Queue” button to add the report that they want to queue for processing. Post this they can go to “My Reports” tab on the reports page and see the status of the report. Once it is completed, they can click the “Download” link to download the report to their system.

Note: The “run report” feature is as is. The button has been renamed to “Run Now”. Clicking this button will run and download the report immediately. If any report takes longer to run / fails the users should queue the report and then wait for some time. The reports would soon be available on the “My reports” tab to be downloaded.

4. Documents template changes:

The date of documents upload and the document file itself have been made mandatory in the documents form. The user will not be able to save this form without these fields.

User Feedbacks addressed in this release:

Following were some of the issues that were reported by the end users and have now been fixed as a part of this release.

  1. Adherence Monthly Overview & Adherence Reasons Summary Report don’t run: When there is large amount of data in these reports, it is observed that these reports take a lot of time to download and also give an error. To address this we have introduced the queue feature of reports, which has been explained above under ‘Queue Feature of Reports’.

  2. Addition of a column to the Basic register: Three new columns have been added to the Basic register : ‘DOB’, ‘Sex’ and Consent ‘endTB study’.

  3. Addition of concepts to the Serology Form: Four new concepts have been added to the serology form : HepC PCR, Hep C viral load, Hep C genotype and APRI.

  4. Change in the Help Text to CD4 and HIV Viral Load on the baseline and Serology Form : The help text for HIV viral load has been changed to suit the options in both the serology and the baseline forms. Help text also has been added to the CD4 count in the baseline form.

  5. Updating the Options in the Performance Status: The options for the performance status have been updated to Fully Active, Ambulatory, Capable of self care, Limited self care and Completely disabled. The codes will remain the same.

  6. Title of the late visit report has been changed to ‘ Late Visit Report Based on Cohort Start Date (Excel)’ to indicate that the report takes only the start date into consideration.

  7. Removed the “Fatal option from the AE form :  The AE form would no longer have ‘Fatal’ as an AE outcome. A script to identify the patients with ‘fatal’ as an outcome has been provided. The implementers must run the script and rectify the forms before they upgrade to 1.5.1.

  8. Removed the “Other Radiological Date” from the X-ray and radiology form: This date has been removed since there is a common date for the Xray and Other Radiological assessments. If two results on different dates need to be entered the users must do so on separate forms. There is a script to identify any X-Ray forms that have two different dates for the X-Ray and other radiological assessment. The implementers must run the script and rectify the forms before they upgrade to 1.5.1.

  9. Dates in the Patient Summary tables do not come in one line: The Date columns have been modified in the Patient summary tables to be accommodated in a single line.

Fixes to known Issues

  1. Refreshing the Documents Tab takes you to the general dashboard: This has been addressed in this release. Now when the user refreshes or edits from the Documents dashboard, they continue to stay on the dashboard.

  2. Print of Patient Monitoring tool: Patient monitoring tool print would cut out the milestones and concepts in the section that needs scrolling. In this release this has been addressed and the print of the Patient Monitoring Tool is has all the concepts and the milestones accommodated in the printout.

  3. Documents form cannot be voided: The documents template can now voided like any other form by clearing the observations on the form.

Known Issues:

  • When the the drug is stopped on the TB drugs tab, before saving if the user navigates to the Non TB drugs tab, they would see those drugs appearing in the edit pane on the non TB drugs tab. Hence the user must save before navigating away from the TB drugs tab if they have made any changes to the medication.

Test Results for Automated tests:

In this release, we ran automation scripts that we have written as a part of our test suite. They are divided into specifications (specs) and each spec contains test cases. We currently have 5 specs with 10 test cases.

These tests were run on the QA environment. The screenshot of the test result is shown below:
