6. Clerk Assigns Patient to a Department

1. CLERK selects an appropriate department for PATIENT.

1. Department assignment process is the same for all departments. In other words, the process described in this page is the same no matter which department PATIENT was assigned to.

2. As of ver .85 department assignment is the CTA in registration page.

2. We could argue that height, weight, etc. are part of observations, but in some hospital settings, it is done at the registration.

3. CLERK collects and records the fee for the visit.
